Congratulations! We wish you well out there. To aid you on your way, we allow you to continue using some of your YCP resources.
Caution: Please backup anything of importance before it's permanently deleted, your account will transition six months after your graduation.
You will retain
-
YCPweb: For your transcripts, academic records, tax forms and other important information.
-
Handshake: For your future career plans.
-
Zoom: Though it will transition to a Basic free account.
-
Some Google apps
-
YCP Gmail: Occasionally, you may receive an email to your YCP Gmail account asking whether you want to keep it. If you do not reply, your YCP email will be permanently deleted. So, if you want to retain them, please check your YCP Gmail account at least once per month, to avoid missing anything important.
-
Google Drive: Your storage is reduced to 10 GB (here’s how to check how much storage you're using). If you’re currently using over 10 GB of storage, please manage your Google Workspace storage until it is below 10 GB. If you’re storing more than 10GB, your YCP email will continue to work, but your Google Drive will essentially freeze until you reduce it accordingly: You won’t be able to sync, upload, or create new files and neither you nor anyone else can edit or copy your current files. This includes Google photos.
If you work at York College anytime after you graduate, your network account will transition to an Employee role (faculty or staff). Per our Account Management Policy, at the end of your employment, you will lose access to your account and only retain access to YCPWeb.
Exception: Official faculty retirees will retain most Network Account access. Learn more in our Accounts article.

Microsoft Office 365 and OneDrive: Please back everything up; purchase Microsoft Office 365 for yourself, or use a free, personal Google account to upload your files, then work with Microsoft Office files at no charge.

More things to do before you leave
Regaining Access to an Inactive Account
Alumni that have been inactive on their YCP account for too long or have not responded to our emails to retain the account will result in the account being made inactive. If you find that it is either a mistake or you would need to reactivate the account, please contact us.
Note: Reactivation of the account will lead to it starting off as if it were brand new.
