The Microsoft Authenticator app helps you sign in to your accounts when you're using two-step verification. Two-step verification helps you to use your accounts more securely because passwords can be forgotten, stolen, or compromised. Two-step verification uses a second step like your phone to make it harder for other people to break in to your account.
Download and install the app
For Apple iOS devices, please refer to the App Store to download the app and for Android devices, please refer to Google Play to download the app.

Tip: If you're not currently on your mobile device, you can still get the Authenticator app if you send yourself a download link from the Authenticator app page.
Set up two step verification on Authenticator
To secure your account, the Authenticator app can provide you with a code to provide additional verification to sign in. No need to wait for texts or calls. The following instructions ensure only you can access your information.
Set up the Authenticator app

On a computer, visit aka.ms/mfasetup.

If prompted, sign in with your YCP email address and password.

If prompted, select Work or school account.

If prompted, under Stay signed in?, you may select Yes to reduce the number of times you are asked to sign in.

Under More information required, select Next.

Under Start by getting the app, select Next.

Under Set up your account, select Next.

Open the Authenticator app on your phone.

Under Scan the QR code, point your phone camera at the QR code.

Under Scan the QR code, select Next.

In the Authenticator app

Select Approve.

If prompted, enter your phone's passcode, touch ID, face ID, etc.

Under Microsoft Authenticator, when you see a Notification approved message, select Next.

If prompted, under Success!, select Done.
Then, if prompted

Under Phone, enter your phone number.

Select Next.

Enter the code that you receive on your phone, then select Next.

When you see a Your phone was registered successfully message, select Next.

Under Success!, select Done.
