On rare occasions, your YCP email account may be compromised: someone else might be using it without your permission. If you suspect this is happening to you, immediately change your password. Then, check your Gmail settings (explained below) to undo any changes that the hacker may have made.
If you haven't already, please fill out your SMS/Alternate Email in myaccount.microsoft.com. (This will allow you to unlock your account, without needing our help, if you're ever compromised.)
Note: Consider using LastPass, to make & store secure passwords.
Note: You can only access all Gmail settings from a computer.
Sign into your YCP Gmail.
In the upper right, select the Settings icon (gear) > See all settings.
Review the following for insidious alterations:
General
Signature
Vacation responder
Accounts
Send Mail As
Filters and Blocked Addresses
Remove any unfamiliar filters.
Note: These send incoming messages to other labels.
Forwarding and POP/IMAP
Remove any unfamiliar forwards in the Forwarding section.
Note: This option is not available for employees.
If you haven't already, sign into your YCP Gmail.
Follow this link to manage third-party access.
Select any unfamiliar third-party apps then REMOVE ACCESS.
Follow this link to manage devices.
In the upper right corner of an unfamiliar listed device, select More ⋮ > Sign out.
