York College offers a variety of meal plan options to meet your needs — and a huge variety of food to enjoy, with multiple cafes and dining halls to choose from. Your Flex Card functions as your Student ID card and as a debit card. The money on the card does not expire until you graduate or leave YCP.

NOTE: The money added onto the account is nonrefundable.

Blocks are meals eaten in the "all-you-can-eat" dining facilities. Points are dining dollars that can be used in any of the campus dining facilities.

General Explanation

"Block" = swipes in the "All You Care to Eat" dining hall
- (i.e., Block 165 = 165 swipes in the dining hall throughout the semester)
"Dining Point" = $1 to spend in a Chartwells' eating facility on campus
- (i.e., 275 dining points = $275)

Resident Students

Most resident freshmen are placed in traditional residence halls that require a meal plan
The 165 Block Advantage meal plan is automatically assigned for the fall semester
Between July 10th, 2024 and August 21st, 2024 - you can change to another appropriate meal plan online
After August 21st, 2024 - you must change your meal plan with the Business Office
After September 3rd, 2024 - you can only add or increase your meal plan

Commuter Students

Meal plan NOT required
Between July 10th, 2024 and August 21st, 2024 - you can add one online if desired
After August 21st, 2024 - you must add the meal plan with the Business Office
After September 3rd, 2024 - you can only add or increase your meal plan

BOTH Resident and Commuter Students

Can add dining points throughout the semester at York Flex Card Online
NOTE: Meal plans and dining points expire at the end of each semester
