Slate Account vs YCP Account

When applying to York College, you will have to create an account before you can start the application process. The account you create for the application is your Slate account which is mainly for the application process and checking on your application progress. After you finish all the steps in the application process and pay your deposits, you will receive an email to claim your YCP account which is used primarily for your everyday YCP life. 


Slate Account

Your slate log-in credentials are typically whatever email you choose to register with when applying at ycp.edu/apply. If you are having any issues with your slate credentials, please contact the Admissions Office.


YCP Account

Your YCP log-in credentials are given to you through an email sent by the Admissions Office, to the email that was used to register for the application. You will receive this only AFTER you pay your deposits, if you are having trouble claiming your account or cannot find the email please contact Library and Technology Services (LTS).
