Registering Passkeys on Android and iOS devices

Setting up a Passkey during Sign-in prompt for your YCP Account 

1.    Click Next when the “Let’s keep your account secure” prompt appears.
2.    Click Next on the “Sign in faster with your face, fingerprint, or PIN" screen.
3.    Select iPhone, iPad, or Android device under “Choose where to save your passkey”.
4.    Open your phone's camera app and scan the QR code shown on your computer screen.
5.    Follow the prompts on your mobile device to add your passkey and name your passkey. 
6.    Confirm that you see the success notification stating your passkey has been created
Note: It is advised to have your phone and another device to complete this process. 

Setting up Passkey within account’s Security Info

1.   Go to your YCP Account Security Info Page by selecting the My Password app, click Add sign-in method and choose  Passkey in Microsoft Authenticator
2.   Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone, click the + at the top right, then tap Work or School account, and select Create a passkey.
3.   Complete the multi-factor authentication (MFA) prompts and confirm your device biometrics (face, fingerprint, or PIN).
4.   Tap Done once your passkey is registered. If prompted, enable Authenticator as a passkey provider.

Setting up in Microsoft Authenticator App

1.    Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
2.    Tap the + at the top right, then select work or school account inside the app. 
3.    Select Create a passkey and follow the prompts to sign in and verify your identity. 
4.    Enable your phone's autofill/passkey provider settings when prompted so the system recognizes Authenticator as a credential manager:
iOS: Go to Settings > General > Autofill & Passwords and turn on AutoFill.
Android: Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts and enable Authenticator under additional providers.
